I wanted to say something about the virtues of dual wield, and keeping a quick equipped shield.
The beauty of it is the rage generation. You get two quick axes, and can generate a little rage with every swing. Once you fill up your bar you can quick-equip your shield and tank, while unloading the rage bar on the unsuspecting target.

An addendum to the dual wield thing. At level 40 you can complete 2 quests; Into the Scarlet Monastery' and 'Bring the End' I think the other one is called, in RFD. From these you get two sweet quest rewards that will have you dual-wielding 2 blue 1 handers; Sword of Omen and Vanquisher's Sword.
Put the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander on a quick bar for a 1600 armor Shield boost when needed, otherwise - dual wield and rage hard!

So, in order to "hot swap" things like shelid/one hander weapon you would need to drag the weapon icon to a hotbar slot? or is it a Macro you write to auto swap items out from your bags?

what I do is go into interface and enable all hotbars so there's a hotbar to the right of the screen, then whenever I wanna switch I just click it on the easily accessible hotbar to the right. There is also a macro that lets you do it but I dont remember the command, or you can download the Add-on Outfitter which lets you just click once to change your weapon/equipment using pre-designed "outfits"

Remember, you can't change armor in combat, except for shields. The hot-swap thing works great when going from dual-wield to 1H and shield. It is one of the main reasons I like to keep my 1H skill up with dual-wield, the other being the insane amount of rage you can generate, with every strike. I have seriously considered going to daggers for this reason. Dual wielding daggers at say 1.40 speed? Scary rage!
Anyway the hot swap works well EXCEPT when you want to swap back to dual wield from shield. The issue is when you click the item on your hot bar, say an item designated 'One Hand' it immediately swaps out whatever is in your main hand by default. Quite frustrating. In the middle of combat you have to open a bag, then your character screen and drag and drop the 1H onto your shield to put it in the correct hand.
They could easily program around this. Make a hot swap 1H default to off hand if a shield is equipped, or more intriguingly, allow you to choose which hand you want your 1H weapons to bind to, on equip.
At the very least, give us more 'off hand weapons' in the game. This is the one time when it does work right. Click on a hot bar icon for an offhand weapon and it will swap out your shield.
For the Horde!

Another thing. This is not just benficial to Warriors. I found it useful on my Hunter. I would actually keep a weapon equipped that benefitted my ranged attacks better, until my pet died or I aggro'd too much and have to melee. Click on the hot bar icon and boom! I swap out to my nasty melee attack power weapon.
