Good day guilinites! Time for a little this, that and the other...
1) I was in-game when former guild member Rocksmasher decided to leave Twofold. Before going, he decided to blast the Guild over perceived slights. In a nutshell he wasn't happy with the guilds entertainment (?) level. To him, we are just too boring.
Being tied down in Uldamann at the time, I didn't have a chance to ask him to elaborate on the problem, but it occured to me that this individual had NEVER requested, suggested, posted or as far as I know, participated in any guild functions. If his enjoyment of the guild depended on the High Council or myself reading his mind, he was screwed from the get-go.
Point is, don't be a Rocksmasher. There are plenty of good people in this guild that I dare say would rush in to make something happen, IF IT WERE FEASABLE, but there isn't a single telepath on the roster. If the guild isn't doing it for you, don't be in such a hurry to just pack up for greener pastures (which often aren't as green as they seem), SUGGEST change. Your opinion is valued and noted.
2) I am requesting that the guild begin a monthly get together in game. At said event I would like to see the following things...a quiz game for prizes, official recognition of new members as well as promotions (ie...Champions), a war council to discuss instance targets for the coming month, trade skill help, a state of the guild address from HC...and naked dancing!!!! (or fireworks). What else could we do?
3) Speaking of naked, I have a feeling the Naked Mile is in the guild's future....stay tuned.
4) There will be a scavenger hunt. This will be an all level run around Azeroth. Tentative for the first weekend in November. You will be given a list of gray items and the first three people back to the starter will reap the rewards.
5) From the War Room, please brush up on your classes abilities. This will become increasingly important as we level up and enter tougher instances. A group blasting through an instance with overpowered assistance is not necessarily operating at peak efficency.
I'm guilty. During an Ulda run I failed to use fade at key times, cast renew before the tank engaged (thus drawing aggro quickly) and totally spaced out some key spells. Hit the net, study up, ask higher-level versions for advice...whatever it takes, because I promise you, the going just gets tougher when it comes to instances!
All for now, my hot dogs are passing into char dog stage...feel free to elaborate here, get involved...and have a nice day!
